Independent Safety Culture Inspired By Molson Coors Beer

When Molson Coors asked us to produce a film to help their peripatetic workforce stay safe, we decided to look at how they sell their beer for inspiration. Or perhaps that was just an excuse for us to have fun spending hours looking at beer commercials.

Years beforehand they had a long running fun and memorable ad campaign for their Carling Black Label with the tag line “I bet they drink Carling Black Label”.

One of these adverts showed squirrels making their way to bird food across a challenging assault course to the original mission impossible tv series theme tune.

This caught our attention to the point that we researched how squirrels survived every day working in an often unfamiliar variable environment.

What we discovered was not only that, like the Molson Coors workers, they are lone workers. But that these bushy tailed acrobats had evolved a safety skill set perfect for a fun analogy to both inspire and entertain the Molson Coors workers to go home healthy and safe to their loved ones.

Our “Mission Possible” Independent Safety approach was born. Inspired by both a great client and the fun way they communicate with their customers.
