Independent Personal Safety

This session is designed to carry forward the same key messages from the Leadership Workshops and to move to a position where we do safety because “we want to” not because “we have to”. It focuses on the attitude “I can prevent my own injury” and provides people with practical tips to keep themselves safe and healthy.

Even better, the learning is relevant everywhere – at work, at home and on the roads and is fundamentally about safety, health and well-being.

Our half day workshops are the next stage in the culture change programme following the Leadership in Safety Workshops and are aimed at everyone in the workforce.

  • An introduction to behavioural safety
  • Exploring health & safety culture; using a case study of Ken Woodward and the Hindsight film to illustrate the link between behaviour and culture and the need to adopt correct behaviours.
  • The concept of Key Safe Behaviours
  • Exercises where delegates can identify critical ways to keep themselves safe at work, at home and whilst driving embraced in “5 practical ways to prevent your own injury”
  • Consolidating the message on personal safety and Dynamic Risk Assessment using our film Mission Possible – A Squirrels Tale

Pride is doing something safely even when no-one is watching
