Meerkat Safety ™ Interdependent Culture and Team Safety

We recognise everyone is human and can potentially make mistakes or put themselves at risk. This session is built around the principle of “I can prevent someone else’s injury” and fundamentally that we ‘never turn a blind eye’.

The highly successful film “All for One – The Meerkat Way”. Many organisations have won internal or external awards around the world for their team-based safety programmes based on our Meerkat programme.

Our half day workshops are the next stage in the culture change programme following the Leadership in Safety Workshops and are aimed at everyone in the workforce.

  • A refresher on behavioural safety from the previous session, the link to culture, a reminder of the independent culture and how we are moving on to the interdependent culture – team safety
  • 4 practical ways to prevent someone else being injured.
  • A film – “All for One – The Meerkat Way”, which illustrates the way Meerkats are role models for Teamwork, ensuring they survive in a hostile environment.
  • A fun quiz designed to draw out the key learning from the film, supported by part 2 of the Meerkats film – A Furry Guide to Safe Working
  • Group exercises exploring how best to approach others at risk
  • Communication skills: approaching people at risk without getting a proverbial punch on the nose
  • Finally, we seek a commitment from those attending to never turn a blind eye.

Absolutely fantastic. It blew us away. Unlike most safety concepts All For One – The Meerkat Way can be used with all staff from all environments…
